The average 30-year mortgage interest rate in the United States continued to rise during the current week for the seventh week in a row, reaching its highest level in three years.
According to the Freddie Mack Real Estate Finance Corporation, the average interest rate rose this week to 7.4%, compared to 7.28% last week, and 6.3% during the same week last year.
The average mortgage interest rate reached its highest level since November 16, 2023, when it reached 7.44%, according to the Associated Press.
