Official data showed that construction costs in Germany rose again, with the prices of construction of traditional residential buildings in August rising by 5.5% compared to the same month last year.
The last time construction prices in Germany rose at this pace was 3 years ago. Over the past three months until the end of August, prices have increased by a percentage point, according to data from the German Federal Statistical Office.
The roof’s work witnessed a particularly sharp rise in its cost, increasing by 7.6% year-on-year, while the cost of carpentry and plumbing increased by 7.2%. The prices of construction and brickwork increased by 4.2%, and the prices of concrete by 4.3%.
