The value of real estate sales in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia amounted to 33.78 billion riyals, during the first nine months of 2026, through the implementation of 30,266 real estate sales, while September recorded the highest monthly sales value since the beginning of the year, by about 4.72 billion riyals, despite the decrease in the number of deals compared to August.

September leads real estate sales of SAR 4.72 billion
The Eastern Province recorded real estate sales of 4.72 billion riyals during September 2026, through 3,362 deals, compared to 3.73 billion riyals in August, through 3,685 deals.
Sales increased by 26.6% on a monthly basis, despite a decrease in the number of transactions by 8.8%, reflecting the increase in the average value of the real estate transaction in September.
The average value of the sale in September was about 1.40 million riyals, compared to about 1.01 million riyals in August, an increase of approximately 38.8%.

April Second Highest Months in Sales
April came in second place in terms of the value of real estate sales, with about 4.58 billion riyals across 3,754 deals, which is the highest number of monthly deals during the first nine months of the year.
July recorded sales of 4.13 billion riyals, followed by January with 4.11 billion riyals, then August with a value of 3.73 billion riyals, and February with 3.56 billion riyals.
In contrast, March recorded the lowest monthly sales value of 2.36 billion riyals, across 2,504 deals, which is also the lowest number of deals during the period.
The average value of the deal exceeds 1.1 million riyals
The average value of the sale of the property in the Eastern Province was about 1.12 million riyals during the first nine months of 2026, based on the total sales of 33.78 billion riyals and the number of deals of 30,266 deals.
The average monthly sales amounted to about 3.75 billion riyals, while the average number of deals was about 3,363 per month.
Sales increase despite falling number of deals
Eastern region data shows a disparity in real estate sales between the months of the year, with September recording the highest monthly value of sales, versus April’s lead in terms of the number of deals.
The increase in the value of sales in September, despite the decline in the number of deals, indicates an increase in the average value of real estate traded during the month, without necessarily implying an increase in similar real estate prices, given the different locations, types, spaces and values of real estate between deals.
