Azizi Developments Company has announced the start of the implementation of residential projects dedicated to workers in Dubai and Sharjah, with a capacity of more than 31 thousand workers when completed, including a main complex in the Sajaa area in Sharjah, which includes 36 residential buildings, in addition to two complexes in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area in Dubai, with the projects to be delivered in phases until late 2027.
The company said in a press statement that the new projects include health care facilities, vocational training, sports and recreational activities, in addition to food and kitchen services dedicated to preparing meals, within integrated residential complexes for workers in its construction and industrial projects.
Residential complex for more than 20 thousand workers in Sharjah
The projects are at the forefront of a residential complex in the industrial area of Sajaa in Sharjah, with a capacity of more than 20 thousand people, and consists of 36 residential buildings, supported by four service centers distributed throughout the complex, five medical clinics, a pharmacy, and a central supermarket.
The project includes a training and community activities center with an area of 18,945 square feet, which accommodates more than 400 people, and is dedicated to organizing technical training and occupational safety programs, as well as outdoor squares and coordinated open spaces.
The complex also includes an infrastructure dedicated to the movement of workers’ buses, including parking for 155 buses, while the company has a transport fleet of more than 500 passenger buses.
The residential plan of the project is linked to the Azizi Industrial Complex in Saja’a, which includes production facilities of more than one million square feet.
These facilities include active aluminium production plants, woodwork, prefabricated ventilation streams, marble, prefabricated bathroom units and fiberglass concrete, as well as prospective precast concrete factories.
According to the company, the establishment of workers’ housing near industrial facilities aims to reduce the travel times between the UAE, reduce fatigue associated with daily trips, and improve the safety and efficiency of supply chains associated with its construction projects.
Two residential complexes for about 9700 workers in Jebel Ali, Dubai
In Dubai, Azizi Developments is working on the establishment of two residential complexes dedicated to workers in the first Jebel Ali Industrial Area, with a total area of more than 137 thousand square meters, and a joint capacity of more than 9700 workers.
The facilities of the two projects include indoor gyms, medical clinics and recreational rests, in addition to ready-to-eat facilities and kitchens that allow workers to prepare their own food.
The company pointed out that the preparation and consolidation work has already begun at the Jebel Ali sites, while the work of preparing the site is scheduled to start in Sajaa during October 2026, in preparation for the delivery of projects in stages until the end of 2027.
Farhad Azizi, CEO of Azizi Group, said that the field teams and skilled workers in the construction sites represent the basis of the company’s operations, stressing the importance of providing a residential environment that takes into account the health and needs of employees.
He added that the integration of medical care services, vocational training and recreational facilities within the residential plans comes within the framework of the company’s efforts to develop the level of housing and services provided to employees.
