Through their joint venture, Turf, the real estate arm of Yas Holding Group, and Steppe Capital, have signed an agreement with Marriott International to launch the JW Marriott Residences Abu Dhabi, Yas Island, in the first JW Marriott residential project in Abu Dhabi.
The project is located on the beach of Yas Island and next to a golf course. Its location provides access to the island's facilities, including Yas Marina, Yas Mall and Yas Marina Circuit. Yas Island is about a 15-minute drive from Zayed International Airport and about 30 minutes from central Abu Dhabi, according to the statement.
The project includes facilities for residents, including a lounge, a fitness centre, sauna facilities, treatment and relaxation rooms, as well as meeting rooms, a golf simulator, a game room, a children’s area and guest suites. According to the company, the design is inspired by the nature, light, craft and heritage of Abu Dhabi, with the use of natural materials and contemporary details.
Lu Ping, CEO of Yas Holding Group, said that TRAF seeks to integrate JW Marriott’s philosophy into the project design and population experience, including spaces associated with nature, light, wellness facilities and connectivity.
Jadiev Menezes, Regional Vice President for Multi-Use Project Development in Europe, Middle East and Africa at Marriott International, said the project represents the second collaboration between Marriott and Terv, after the W Residences Abu Dhabi-Al Maryah Island project, which Marriott said was a complete sale. He added that JW Marriott Residences will provide services and facilities designed to support wellness and communication in everyday life.
