Kuwait's Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) has signed two contracts worth KD42.468 million ($140 million) for the construction of social housing units within the new Al Metlaa residential district in the north of the country, reported Kuna.   One of the major housing projects in Kuwait, the Al Metlaa residential district will boast several key facilities and amenities including nurseries, stores as well as two schools in addition to various other retail outlets.   Electricity connections have been given to 109 buildings in the district, said the report citing PAHW officials, indicating at the ongoing work to build all necessary facilities for the new residential district.   Currently, the authority is executing several projects including a medical center, a…

Riyadh –  Knowledge Economic City announced signing two contracts with Elkhereiji Commerce and Contracting Company for Al Alya project at a combined value of SAR 288.60 million.   The two deals were awarded and signed on 4 April 2024, according to separate bourse disclosures.   The first contract is valued at SAR 171.12 million and holds a duration of 20 months starting from 5 May 2024. The Sabah Al Ahmad Project (S3), an important mixed-use development planned for a 40,121 square meter area in the capital city, will be a vital mixed-use development, according to Kuwaiti real estate developer Mabanee Company.   According to the public-private partnership (PPA) deal, Mabanee will handle the project’s funding, planning, and construction for KD26 million ($84.6 million).   S3 is a commercial mixed-use complex that includes elements for entertainment, retail, and hospitality.   The entire project, which includes a hotel and a mall with a motif of an old Kuwait Souq, is expected to be finished in three years, according to Mabanee. It also stated that the operations will last 32 years.
