Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) has selected a preferred bidder for a 2.15 million Kuwaiti dinar ($7.1 million) consultancy contract to prepare feasibility studies and oversee the re-tendering of 23 real estate projects on state-owned land, according to local Arabic-language newspaper Al-Qabas.
The preferred bidder was selected from three shortlisted international consulting consortia, the report published on Thursday said.
KAPP has referred the selection to the State Audit Bureau for approval before signing the contract, with a response expected in the coming weeks.
The report did not disclose the identities of the bidders.
The projects list for retendering, according to a previous notice issued in January 2026, include the Fahaheel Waterfront Development (Al Kout); the Waterfront Development Project - Phase Five (Marina Mall); two construction waste treatment plants; Al-Duwalia Centre Project; Al-Mutahida Market; Al-Maseel Market; Al-Kabeer Market; Al-Watiya Market; Kuwait Market; Block 11 (Kuwait Magic); Al-Farwaniya Slaughterhouse; Al-Wataniya Market; Al-Duwali Golf Club; Al-Safat Market; Al-Manakh Market; Al-Duwalia Building Property; Meat and Vegetable Market in Al-Jleeb; Al-Jahra Slaughterhouse; Souq Al-Mubarakiya; Al-Ahmadi Slaughterhouse; Meat and Vegetable Market in Al-Jahra ‘Al-Khaima Mall and Central Fruit and Vegetable Market (Al-Sulaibiya).
The re-tendering initiative aims to increase returns from state-owned properties and expand private-sector participation in their operation, maintenance and development.
