Further Developers in Dubai have stepped up to help their communities after last week’s intense rains resulted in significant flooding, damage to cars, and destruction of property.
They promised to cover the cost of repairs for the impacted residents.
Private real estate developer MAG has pledged to assist its customers impacted by the recent heavy rains. “The company will cover all the costs of necessary repairs for affected residents, across its residential developments,” MAG said in a statement.
“In light of the unprecedented weather conditions experienced in the UAE earlier this week, it is incumbent upon us to stand by our customers during these challenging times. The resilience demonstrated by our residents, coupled with the supportive measures enacted by the wise government, serves as inspiration for us to extend our assistance to those in need,” said Talal Moafaq Al Gaddah, CEO of MAG Lifestyle Development.
The developer has finished several projects, including the Emirates Financial Towers, MAG 214, MAG 218 apartments, MAG 5 residences, and many more. Among the significant projects in progress are Keturah Reserve Townhouses, Keturah Reserve Residences, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, and Keturah Resort.
Emaar Properties also declared on Friday that it would provide free repairs for all of the homes in its communities in Dubai that were harmed by the severe rains.
“Emaar will undertake the repair of all properties within our communities that have been damaged by the recent rains at its own cost to ensure that our residents can return to their daily lives as swiftly and smoothly as possible,” said Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties.
No serious damage
The biggest private developer in Dubai, Damac Properties, promised to keep evaluating the damage to ensure locals that their properties are all fully covered by insurance and, if needed, to assist stakeholders in conducting in-depth analyses and procedures.
Additionally, it declared that there had been no reports of significant structural damage and that preventative measures, such as routine maintenance of power, fire safety, and alarm systems, had guaranteed the safety of the inhabitants and their belongings.
The developer said that it worked closely with local authorities to restore normalcy in the communities mere hours after the storm’s impact, minimizing disruptions for residents. “As we work towards welcoming normality, I would like to express my thanks to our community for their patience,” said Mohammed Tahaineh, general manager of projects at Damac.
With assistance from the Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, RTA, Dubai Rescue Center, Dewa, Civil Defense, and other government agencies, almost one thousand workers of Damac participated in the relief efforts.
