In the wake of the weather conditions witnessed by Dubai and the United Arab Emirates in recent days, Damac Properties expressed its deep gratitude to the official authorities and government institutions for providing it with field support, to successfully deal with these exceptional weather conditions, which enabled it to address all problems and avoid serious damage, whether Whether financial or human, and ensuring the continuation of basic services for all residents in its various residential communities and projects, which include about 45,000 housing units.
As a result of the proactive measures taken by the company in cooperation with its partners, stakeholders and contractors, including placing all work teams on high alert around the clock, Damac was able to successfully and highly efficiently manage this crisis, as the field work teams responded immediately to all reports they received. This is thanks to the direct coordination and full support of Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the Civil Defence.
Working closely with these local authorities, DAMAC’s specialized teams worked exceptionally well to ensure the safety of residents, remove rain pools, clear streets of sand and return things to normal within just hours, in its flagship residential communities DAMAC Hills and DAMAC Hills 2, where No significant damage was recorded in this regard, with elevator services, Internet, electricity, and water services continuing normally without any significant interruption.
In this regard, Mohammed Al Tahaina, General Manager of Projects at Damac, who was personally present on the field and provided guidance and support to the work teams present in the Damac Hills community, said: “I am very proud of the work team at Damac, which included about 1,000 people from various departments, for their great dedication.” In dealing with this weather situation, we, thank God, did not record any serious damage or major accidents in various locations, despite the severity of this storm, which the UAE has not witnessed in about 75 years. Our greatest thanks also to the heroes of the Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority, and the Electricity Authority Dubai Water, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense and other official bodies provided us with all forms of field support and overcame all the obstacles and difficulties that we faced during the weather storm.”
