The activity of holiday homes can be practiced in units located in development projects, commercial hubs, or residential and investment lands, taking into account a set of conditions, including that it be an independent residential unit, and provide conditions of security, safety, environment, health, public tranquility and general appearance, and the provision of basic service facilities, and not The number of occupants per room exceeds 3 people, and halls and corridors must not be used as bedrooms.
Legislation allows units to be licensed as holiday homes in all areas of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including free zones, private development zones and real estate complexes.
According to the guide of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, tenants who rent residential units are not allowed to operate these units within the activity of holiday homes.
Regarding the conditions for the duration of stay, the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi has the right to determine a minimum or maximum stay in each residential unit, taking into account that the rental period in one contract does not exceed 3 continuous months.
