The value added of the real estate sector in Dubai recorded about $ 17.7 billion (65.1 billion dirhams) during the first half of 2026, a growth of 5.4% at current prices, compared to about $ 16.8 billion (61.8 billion dirhams) during the same period in 2025, according to official data issued by the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation of Dubai Digital.
The data showed that real estate activities in Dubai ranked third among the largest contributors to the emirate’s real GDP during the first half of the year, with a share of 11.8%, after wholesale and retail trade, which accounted for 20.5%, and financial and insurance activities with a share of 14%, while the contribution of transport and storage activities reached 10.7%.
Despite the increase in the value added of the real estate sector at current prices, the data showed a decline in its real economic activity by 2.5% at constant prices, to reach an added value of about $ 15.2 billion (55.8 billion dirhams).
The real estate source platform explains that current prices reflect the monetary value of the economic activity according to the prevailing prices during the period, while fixed prices measure real growth after excluding the impact of price change. The added value of real estate activities represents their contribution to GDP, and is not equivalent to total sales or real estate transactions recorded in Dubai.
