Engineer Randa El-Menchawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities in Egypt, discussed ways to maximize the economic and investment benefit from the real estate assets of the New Urban Communities Authority, through the study and activation of innovative investment mechanisms that contribute to raising the efficiency of the management of these assets, increasing the returns achieved from them, and providing diverse and sustainable sources of financing for development and urban projects.
This came during a meeting held by Engineer Randa Al-Minshawi, in the presence of Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities, and a number of ministry officials and the New Urban Communities Authority.
The meeting discussed the proposal to establish a real estate investment fund, aimed at maximizing the economic return from the Authority’s assets, attracting capital and local and foreign investments, providing new sources of liquidity and financing, in addition to establishing a diversified and viable real estate portfolio that achieves attractive investment returns and supports the sustainability of revenues.

In the same context, Al-Minshawi stressed the importance of studying the various investment models that allow maximizing the return on real estate assets, taking into account the nature and potential of each asset, and the opportunities available to develop it, thus contributing to raising its economic value and achieving the best possible benefit from it.
She explained that the diversification of investment and financing mechanisms represents an important step towards enhancing the efficiency of asset management, providing additional resources that support urban development plans, and keep pace with the expansion of projects in new cities.
