Oman's Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has invited bids for the construction of an Integrated Operations and Control Centre (IOCC) building under Phase 1 of the Sultan Haitham City development in Muscat.
The tender Work Package 11B (WP11B) includes an integrated command and control centre, a high-performance data centre and a public gallery designed to educate visitors about digital infrastructure, data and technology.
Tender documents are available for purchase from 30 September to 28 October 2026, according to the tender notice.
The deadline for submitting bids is 9 November 2026, with priced bids scheduled to be opened on the same day.
The project forms part of the first phase of Sultan Haitham City.
The tender statement didn’t elaborate on full contract scope, data centre and building specifications, and delivery schedule.
Launched in May 2023, Sultan Haitham City will cover approximately 15 million square metres (sqm), including 2.9 million sqm of green spaces.
The development is planned to accommodate 100,000 residents across 20,000 residential units. The city is being developed in four phases, with the first phase being implemented over a seven-year period up to 2030.
